Would appreciate a pcf for range expansion after 4 days of tight consolidation. Thanks.

My PC failed. Please tell me how to re-establish Version 7 on this backup PC.

Thank you. That's a help. Probably tough to help someone unsure of what they're looking for.. I simply observe that often before a breakout the daily price rane narrows down, sort of like the Bollinger Bands contracting. Then, if the range expands and the volume expands, might be something worth checking out. Any other ideas welcome. Thanks again for this

Looking for info on range expansion and volume expansion PCFs and scans. Any help appreciated.

Thank you Bruce. The Wilder's Smoothing box was checked. Unchecking that box did the trick. Where would you suggest I look to understand the error of my ways?

I'm trying to find stocks where RSI 14.1 is crossing above 50 today. Here's the PCF I've tried:
RSI14.1.1 <= 50 AND RSI14.1 > 50
Seems straight forward and the syntax checked out. Unfortunately the stocks that turn up as "True" have RSI values that have been above 50 for some time.
Any suggestions?

[Jim Bennett] I'd like to develop two PCFs. One to find Buying Climaxes and another to find Selling Climaxes. I would like to use the Prudent Trader's definition where a buying climax is a new 250 day high followed by a close less than the close 5 days ago and a selling climax is a new 250 day low followed by a close higher than the close 5 days ago.
Here's what I've tried:
Buying: MAXC10 > C250 AND C < C5
Selling : MINC10 < C250 AND C > C5
Don't seem to work. Can you help please.

[Jim Bennett] Trying to write a PCF to find stocks with 10 day moving average > 20 day MA and 20 day MA > 50 Day MA. I get syntax errors with (XAVGC10 > XAVGC20) AND (XAVG20 > XAVGC50). Help!
