I'm trying to find stocks where RSI 14.1 is crossing above 50 today. Here's the PCF I've tried:

RSI14.1.1 <= 50 AND RSI14.1 > 50

Seems straight forward and the syntax checked out.  Unfortunately the stocks that turn up as "True" have RSI values that have been above 50 for some time.

Any suggestions?

Your formula should and does work for an RSI with the following settings on a Daily Chart:

- RSI Period: 14
- Use Wilders Smoothing: Unchecked
- Avg Period: 1
- Average Type: Doesn't matter (because the Avg Period is 1)

Any changes to these settings would require using a different formula. What are the charted Wilder's RSI Settings against which you are comparing the results of the formula?

Thank you Bruce.  The Wilder's Smoothing box was checked.  Unchecking that box did the trick.  Where would you suggest I look to understand the error of my ways?

The PCF Formula Descriptions topic contains a fairly comprehensive description of the syntax that is valid in TeleChart's Personal Criteria Formula Language (including mentioning that the built in RSI syntax is not Wilder's Smoothed).
