Bruce 2 quick questions please

1) Need 2 standard deviation of 20 bar average volume in boolean formula so how to write that ?

 

2) this below pcf u did for somebody in forum and wanted to ask you what exactly the output of Value 63 being the highest and 8  ,10,31 etc signify for interpretation ??

I am not quite sure what you mean by the the "2 standard deviation of 20 bar average volume in boolean formula". 2 times the 20 period standard deviation of volume would be the following.

2 * SQR(ABS(SUM((V) ^ 2, 20) - 20 * AVG(V, 20) ^ 2) / 20)

And 2 times the 20 period standard devation of the 20 period simple moving average of volume would be the following.

2 * SQR(ABS(SUM((AVGV20) ^ 2, 20) - 20 * AVG(AVGV20, 20) ^ 2) / 20)

But neither is Boolean in that the formulas return numeric values instead of returning true or false. You need to compare the number values to something else to create a Boolean formula and nothing in your question would allow me to guess at what this comparison might entail.

I think the long formula in your post is from my Thursday, August 24, 2017 1:57:05 PM ET post in the PP Count on Vol topic. I can't actually give you interpretation advice, but if so, it is "Pocket Pivot PCF to indicate no Pocket Pivot yesterday and a Pocket Pivot today ... that included volume."

The value returned is the number of bars in row where all of the down volume was less than the volume of the current bar (which is both up and greater than 1.5 * AVGV30).

Hi Bruce: I had posted on Apr 1 that most of the multiday candlestick chart viewing options within TC2000's software appear to be off when calculating when the beginning of the next new bar will be. Am I missing something or counting incorrectly? Take the 4day and 8 day for example and go back a few months. The dates with which new bars are found don't appear to be accurate.

If there has been in fact a software issue/mistake just uncovered, all TC2000 paying subscribers users should be notified with the problem remedied quickly. Hopefully I'm wrong here however and simply overlooking a settings adjustment, etc.

The candles aren't rolling x day bars like they were in TC2000 v7 where the newest bar (and everything but the oldest bar) is always x bars long. The x bars spans start at an arbitrary date and just repeat over and over again based on the calendar. So the newest bar is not necessarily going to be x bars long.
