Hello,

I have pre-defined price range. How would I create a forumla to view scans of stocks that have increased/decreased 5% ON THE DAY, at the close of the day? C < C * (1.05)? / C > C * (1.05)? Am I close?

From the open to the close or the close of yesterday to the close of today?

Your formula above compares the close today to itself.

If you are looking for stocks that went up/down X% from the close yesterday, use this PCF:

Absolute Percent Change Today
100*ABS(C-C1)/C1

This will return the absolute (no + or -, just the change) percent change for the stock from the close yesterday to the close today. Add it to an EasyScan and limit your VALUES to 5 to MAX (to capture 5% or more)

If you are looking for stocks that went up/down X% from the open today, use this PCF:

Absolute Percent Change Open to Close
100*ABS(C-O)/O

This will return the absolute (no + or -, just the change) percent change for the stock from the o to the close today. Add it to an EasyScan and limit your VALUES to 5 to MAX (to capture 5% or more)

I have been having the same shoutdown problem that was reported June 06 by Previn bungle and on june 09 by Mousefinger and again on dec. 21 by Svinson. I have been having this trouble for a number of months. I am runing EP Home edition, and have TC2005 version 6.0.0042 on my machine. Is there a fix for this problem, it seems to be showing up every once in a while. I just cancle it when I shut down. vablake
