While in Beta the advantage is participating in the beta test, thereby improving the quality of the release of 5.0. This downside is encountering those problems and the potential that layouts created my not work in subsequent release while thing are evolving.

V5 vs V4
o Speed
o Bug fixes
o Speed
o Improved user interface
o Ability to save conditions and indicators
o cut and paste of realcode
o Realcode extensions
o ...

Waiting for the production release, after the Beta, would be the path for  non-trailblaizers.

I just spent days on an SF4 issue that was resolved by moving to SF5. Don't be afraid to pick up the phone and call for help getting around the new interface either. I did that and 10 minutes later I was much more dangerous than before.

Because SF5 is much better than SF4, as long as you don't forget this is a Beta.
I would add to what jas0501 mentioned, that you would have the opportunity to contribute to the project. So far, the dev. team has been very receptive/open to suggestions, and a lot of functionality  that was just a dream a few weeks ago, has now become reality.
In conclusion, it's worth it.
