After the close I print off the following on MSN stock screener: Last Volume >=2* Avg. Daily Vol. Last Qtr., Market Capitalization>=20,000,000; % Price Change Today>= 2; Last Volume>= 200,000. Will print this everyday! Will amend this criteria at times by adding Last Price >=1. On stocks price below $1.00 like to see high volume breakout of at least 1 million shares traded that day. Will then go to "Wordens Studio" charts to look at these stocks. Looking for stocks coming off a nice base on high volume breakouts. Try to use IBD's selection criteria on chart reading. After narrowing down the list will go to "telechart" checking only TSV & MS.. Will buy stocks price below 5 dollars per share if the price is not more than 20% over its 50 day moving average but the lower the better. Stocks price above $10 will not be bought if the price is more than 10% above 50 day moving average. Works for me!

You know you can do your screening in TeleChart for all those conditions automatically (including the price as a percent of its 50-day ma)?

Since your scan is primarily:

Price
Volume
% change
Market Cap

You can probably do the whole scan in
telechart. Using an easyscan.
(these are all conditions that are either in telechart
or can be created)

How well has it worked for you? Can you put some numbers return around the approach?
