Should have I take some profit off the table on some of these stocks?  Example: bought "vlnc" @ 1.52 on
12/27.  High price 1.83, now 1.59.  Bought "atec" 12/17 @ 2.48, high 2.86,  now 2.59.  Bought "chtp" @ 5.6, now 7.84.  Bought "ssn" 12/29 @ 1.28, now 1.44.  Bought "sify" on 12/30 @ 2.25 now 2.31.
Thanks,

When do you start taking profits on your stock holdings?  Does anybody have any rules for taking profit?

Does anyone wish to share their "Personal Criteria Formulas" for exchange traded funds?
Topic: what I use for stock selections

After the close I print off the following on MSN stock screener: Last Volume >=2* Avg. Daily Vol. Last Qtr., Market Capitalization>=20,000,000; % Price Change Today>= 2; Last Volume>= 200,000. Will print this everyday! Will amend this criteria at times by adding Last Price >=1. On stocks price below $1.00 like to see high volume breakout of at least 1 million shares traded that day. Will then go to "Wordens Studio" charts to look at these stocks. Looking for stocks coming off a nice base on high volume breakouts. Try to use IBD's selection criteria on chart reading. After narrowing down the list will go to "telechart" checking only TSV & MS.. Will buy stocks price below 5 dollars per share if the price is not more than 20% over its 50 day moving average but the lower the better. Stocks price above $10 will not be bought if the price is more than 10% above 50 day moving average. Works for me!

Have made purchases of these stocks in the last couple of weeks. Bought MCZ at .79 and HSOA at 5.74.. Will look at the charts using only stocks on high volume breakout off of a nice base. Will not purchase stocks more than 10% over their 50 day moving average. Will look at TSV and MS only after coming up a list of candidates on high volume breakouts. All of those other indicators just seems to confuse my thinking.
