Topic: TC2000 Scan Question
Posted: Wednesday, March 14, 2012 10:47:24 AM
Ya, it is unfortunate, I was off the market for sometime, and just when I am about to get back in and reactivate my subcription, I noticed that I no longer have the offline tc2000, for that reason alone, I have to look somewhere else, which is unfortunate, for I have been a TC subcriber since long...long time ago, although on and off depending on whether I am in the market, I really like the program.

while I have waited long enough for my pipe dream, guess time for me to seriously look somewhere else :-(

I understand that v11 is server based, does it means that I have to be connected to the internet to use the software ? if so,  that will be bad for me as I don't necessary have internet connection when I want to use the software, especailly if I am mainly doing eod analysis.
Topic: scanning with weekly data
Posted: Wednesday, December 12, 2007 4:20:00 PM
hi there,
is there a way to write pcf to create scan using weekly data ? i.e. I want the open and close to refer to the open and close for the week instead of for the day. I can not use C5 because this said 5 days ago, not necessarily the week.

thanks in advance.

depending on what you are looking for, if you just want to screen the stock based on the candle pattern, stockfetcher is a nice site (with decent paid subscription), and is easy to use, check it out.
I have no relationship with the site, except a happy trial user

I found that superbookdeals usually has decent price as well. However, another source is that if you go to amazon and look at the book you like, look under the used section for the particular book, usually you can get good deal with the used, many times they are in very good condition, as many of them indicted as "like new", they are not really used, some are just rejects for whatever reason.

well, for short term trading , you might find the follwoing interesting :
1) A beginner's guide to short-term trading by Toni Turner

but all those books gave you ideas as what techniques others use, and you then will have to spend time developing your own strategies and technique, and that is the hard part, takes time and patience, and guts ,you will take care of the guts part when you work on the psychology
