I hope you'll get input from others out there, but I did want to point out that Don Worden has a recommended reading list that you may be interested in. You can find it by clicking on the following link:

I don't know if you mean day trading? As far as some great books though here's a few: -Technical Analysis of stock trends (Edwards and Magee)-this is a must have book for TA -Market Wizards, The New Market Wizards (Schwager)-great interviews with top traders regarding systems, money management, discipline, ect. -Jesse Livermore World's Greatest Stock Trader(smitten) good read -Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques (Nison) -candlesticks are great for short term trading and this is a very good book. -Come Into My Trading Room(Elder) -You'll find a mix of different strategies in this book. I think it's well written and easy to understand.

One of the better books on trading is "The battle for investment survival" by Gerald M. Loeb. Herb Schwager

well, for short term trading , you might find the follwoing interesting : 1) A beginner's guide to short-term trading by Toni Turner
but all those books gave you ideas as what techniques others use, and you then will have to spend time developing your own strategies and technique, and that is the hard part, takes time and patience, and guts ,you will take care of the guts part when you work on the psychology
