Index fund Rate this Topic:

I seem to remember that one of the index funds is an opposite of the S&P 500, moving in the opposite direction as the index. Does what symbol represents that index?

Sorry I don't have the SP500 version,
but the Rydex bear market funds are what you're looking for, for instance, RYMHX is the inverse for MidCaps, RYCWX inverse of the Dow30, RYSHX inverse of SmallCap, etc. Google their site for lots more and info on others.

And RYVNX is the inverse of the Nasdaq or QQQQ

The bad part about these mutual funds, traded at EOD.

Try Profunds. They have several short funds.
