I was wondering if someone could help with a scan of stocks that have closed and crossed the 10 period moving average the day before.  today is 1/26 so the cross and close would have to be for 1/25

also one for the 50 period moving average cross and close .  I would also like to apply the scan to daily weekly and monthly charts

thanks in advance

Cross Up: C2 < AVGC10.2 and C1 > AVGC10.1

Cross Dn: C2 > AVGC10.2 and C1 < AVGC10.1

For the 50, just substitute 50 for 10 and for weekly and monthly, just change the time frame on the condition accordingly.

I was wondering if there was a formula to scan for these 2 types of 2 bar combination.  The first one:  the second bar does not make a lower low than the previous bar but closeshigher than the previous bar.  the second one is the second bar makes a lower low but closes positive. but not higher than the previous bar.   Also a scan of the inverse is appreciated.  I hope the screen shots work

I have attached a screen shot as examples

If the first one just requires the close above the previous close.

L1 < L AND C1 < C

The inverse of this would be:

C < C1 AND H < H1

If the first one requires the close to above the entire previous bar.

L1 < L AND H1 < C

The inverse of this would be:

C < L1 AND H < H1

The second would be the following if the close is being compared to the previous close.

L < L1 AND O < C AND C < C1

The inverse of this would be the following.

C1 < C AND C < O AND H1 < H

If the close is being compared to the previous high.

L < L1 AND O < C AND C < H1

The inverse of this would be:

H1 < C AND C < O AND H1 < H
