Hello,

Is it possible to link multiple charts to the same date range?

I understand how symbol and timeframe linking works... I wonder if there is something similar for date range linking?

For example, I would like to be able to review a chart for a date range in the past (e.g. 2011), and then switch to another chart (presumably showing a different set of indicators etc.) and have that chart show the same date range.

As an alternative, it would be nice if when I set the date range and then switch away from a chart (to a different chart) and then return to that original chart that the date range would remain where I had it set. For example, if I am studying what happened in 2011, I would like to be able to switch to various charts without the date being automatically returned to the current date with each chart switch.

Are either of these two scenarios possible in TC2000 12.3? (TC2000 v7 works as I would like -- it does not change the date range when I switch charts).

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

It is not possibe to have the previously selected scroll and zoom remain if you switch away to another chart and then switch back.

There isn't currently a way to link the scroll and zoom of two different charts in TC2000 version 12.3.

The 5Y, 1Y, YTD, 6M, 3M, 1M, 1W, 1D and Today buttons at the bottom of the chart will automatically adjust the Time Frame, Zoom and Scroll of that particular chart so that you can see the desired period of time on that chart, but they will not stay highlighted and it will only change the Time Frame of any other charts which have a Time Frame link if Time Frame Linking is active.

Time Frame linking means that the interval of each bar on the chart will be the same. So if you have 5-Minute Bars on one chart, you will have 5-Minute Bars on another chart. The Time Frame is normally listed in the toolbar at the top of each chart and is usually between Add Indicator and Settings.

It is possible to link the Pointer across all charts, by selecting Tools | System Settings | Charts and checking Show pointer date across all charts.

Thank you for your suggestion. It has been assigned case number 10704.
