I drag and drop a condition from the chart to a watchlist, show "% true in period" and specify a period of 20 days.  If I keep the condition "linked", I get the correct values for the 20 day lookback.  When I unlink the condition, for some reason, the period defaults to 50 days (seems to be the standard system default period).  If I then try to edit the condition while unlinked, I cannot find any option (when I right click) that allows me to change the lookback period. I can change or modify the condition parameters, but not the lookback period.

Am I doing something wrong?  Why does the unlinked lookback period change to the system default of 50 when I switch from the linked to the unlinked mode?

Thanks.... Dan

I should add following.  For some conditions, I seem to have the option when unlinked, to edit the period.  With other conditions (with multiple rules), I do not have that option.

Can you provide specific examples of both types of Conditions?

Disregard my 2nd comment.  I was looking at an indicator column, not a condition column.  My mistake.  My 1st post question is the real issue.

You have found a bug in StockFinder 5. It should be noted that the bug does not exist in the StockFinder 5.1 beta. That said, the reason that the bug does not exist is that the ability to set the number of bars used in a % True in Period WatchList Column appears to have been removed entirely.

Is there any reason I should not upgrade to 5.1?  If I elect to upgrade, how should I proceed?

Thanks... Dan

I can't think of a reason to you wouldn't want to at least try it. You don't have to uninstall StockFinder 5 to use the StockFinder 5.1 beta. You can obtain the StockFinder 5.1 beta here:

beta key: fins1

I upgraded to 5.1, but the bug still exists, at least in my code.  I opened "Help/About".  I am running version 5.1.18.17548.  Am I doing something wrong here?

I thought I was pretty specific in indicating that the bug was not fixed in 5.1, just that it no longer existed in 5.1. You cannot set the number of bars used in a % True in Period WatchList Column in StockFinder 5.1. The bug as described and as I understand it is with a feature that no longer exists in 5.1.
