I would like to filter a list of stocks/etf's for the most volatile. I considered using the beta indicator but I am a gold member. I tried a linear regression indicator, however a expected a straight line between two points but i got a trend line instead---same with the LR slope. Which indicator/conditions should I use to filter for the most volatile stocks in a given watchlist and period?
Thanks in advance

The trainers can't give setting, interpretation or investment advice, but there are at least two built in Indicators that you should be able to use with StockFinder Gold that have Volatility in their name. These two Indicators are called Chaikins Volatility and the Normalized Volatility Indicator NVI.
The Linear Regression Scan and Regression Channel edit topics have RealCode Indicators for TeleChart style Linear Regression Channels and Moving Linear Regressions (with options to use Standard Deviation or TeleChart's LR calculations for Width).

Try using the average true range as a "greater than" condition in your filter and set it to 1.5 (or more) dollars. You will find the best volatile stocks out there.Cheers thevinman (a trader)
