I downloaded Blocks when it first came out. Got too busy and just ignored it. After some of the recent threads here and a visit to the website, I decided it looked too good to ignore any longer.

Of course, I can go through the usual routine to learn it. But I just wondered if anyone has any particular tips on picking it up faster. Of course we all know that it's going to make a difference what I'm trying to accomplish but many of you already know me somewhat.

Any thoughts/tips?

Blocks when it first came out?  Hmmm! I think that is probably a little obsolete.
I would start by downloading the latest version.

thanks BigBlock. LOL. Good point.

I should have pointed out that I deleted the first version and downloaded the latest and was now ready to start again.

Thanks

If you click on the link below, it is Block's training class notes provided by Craig and Julia.

Attachments:
052008 Live Event Notes.pdf - 1,570 KB, downloaded 74 time(s).

You can browse thru it, and try out some of the exercises that appeal to you. New Block's developments get to the training classes very quickly.

Another good way of learning, is to watch some videos from the blocks site, working your way backwards from the most recent.

Tobydad - I'm similar to you - tried learning blocks when it first came out and it was way too complicated.  Signed up for the last Warden video and that gave me the impetus to finally get my feet wet - downloaded and learned it this past weekend (one reason why I'm back - got me excited again )

There's an initial demo video ("Blocks Trader Quckstart")  that does a good job explaining the basics - and after that, check out a video called "Scanning With Lights Tour" - and you should be good to go.
