Yesterday it moved up nicely and closed above the 50sma. In addition to that positive the volume was best so far this month and all this coming off of a nice well defined one month base/support around 3.10. My plan is to buy a very small piece at open and go from there.

My program actually picked this stock on 2/14. It suggested an entry point of 3.20 with a stop at 2.99. It hit the entry point on 2/24 and has basically moved sideways. The minimum price target was 3.90 to 4.00 if it is in wave c, and 4.80 if it is a true wave 3.

It looks to me like you may be on to something here.

I almost bought some at 3.27 but decided to see what happens on Monday. I have a feeling Monday is going to be a really bad day.

Probably smart move HNC. I bought early at 3.40, very small position, about 1/5 size. Yes, 1/5. That forces me to watch it regularly with my other positions for days or weeks. Just as long as it holds above the one mo. support I'll keep it, ready to quickly add aggresively when/if it makes move. If plan evolves like I hope, I'll start adding on close of 3.50+. I have good feeling about this Monday; foolish maybe but the truth. Yes, I know how many traders don't trust early morning Monday pops, but I think the Naz will finally do like the SP and Dow and break out to new highs...if not Monday then later in the week.

I put it on my watchlist. I think you're right about the move up. As soon as it shows some strength I am going to at least nibble.

This should be a good test as my system doesn't work with this one.

It does work with MSPD and I'm in it also if for no other reason then support.

This is not in my system either. We just have an ascending triangle. It could go up or down, but I'm betting on up.

This is a hard one for me to see ..there are no confirming entry patterns. Volume is diminshing, price is moving sideways, cci and stochastics are drifting along. I think that there are a lot better stocks to trade out there. look at DNDN (setting up for a double bottom),BGO (bouncing off its bottom upward trend line today), CIEN , SIFY (forming a sweet ascending triangle), LVLT (nice break out play today , NVAX (pull back play ..closed with doji today).....to mention but a few.

What this stock needs is another shot in the arm from Mad Money. I see nothing to hold it up but it's 200day MA. Allthough in the long run, a good product market and maybe a continuation pattern building up for a breakout to the upside. I like the way this stock moves when it gets rolling.

Probably right malcolmb, and if I were looking at CPST for the first time this week I would probably also pass. But it caught my eye last week and I nibbled. Such a small position size, so I'll continue to hold for now.

I have seen several references to cci as an indicator or comparison. The only thing I can see is Crown Castle Internztional Corp (symbol CCI).

I'm confused.

What is it and how is it used?

CCI stands for commodity channel index. Do a google on that and it will explain the concept. I have it on one of my programs but I haven't really tried using it yet. I'm pretty sure there is a way to duplicate it in telechart.

CCI for bfly has been in a decline since 2/21/06. No divergences noted.

CCI for cpst has reach a new high, but the price has not. A bullish divergence.

CCI for GNTA is bearish. The price high on 2/8 was not confirmed. The cci has been in an uptrend since 3/8 but has not rolled over slowly and is heading down.

That last line was supposed to read:

CCI for GNTA is bearish. The price high on 2/8 was not confirmed. The cci has been in an uptrend since 3/8 but has rolled over slowly and is heading down.

here you go guy ...acustom indicator for a14 period cci. Iuse it in conjunction with a 7,7,3 stochastic for entry andexit points. CCI is slightly leading on stochastics so gives you a good heads up before the actual entry. If you want to see the set up work really well try it on IMAX. With this stock I used the stochastics cross over for entry and the cci in conjunction with the stochastics for exit .

right now two indicators are:
bearish on GNTA
bearish on BFLY
bullish on CPST (the cci is showing overbought but the stochastic has some catch up to do. (There may be 5 - 10 % in this stock in the next fewdays , which it would do if it went and tested it's highs around 3.9)
Right now I like RHEO. The CCI has formed a higher low , wheras the price has not = bullish divergence. The stochastic is bullsih on this stock , as is the BOP

I'm kind of liking the CCI indicator. I just checked GNBT and it failed to confirm the highs twice on this stock.

For what its worth, CCI confirmed the high in the s&P 500, but did not confirm on the nasdaq or the dow.

CPST made a nice move today on some pretty hefty volume. I've been in at 3.75, but I only bought 900 shares because of the limited upside potential in this wave.

HNC, I sold most in late March for a very small gain and have kept a small piece since...yesterday started building position back up with three buys. I hope to make one more buy sometime today (tue.). I think challenge of '05 highs of 5.50+ looks reasonable and would be a very nice gain indeed.
