I'm facing difficulties with putting in a formula for dip trip in both telechart and TC2000+. I have this formula, but it does not work:

((C2 - C) / C2) * 100 > 4 AND RSI70.2 > 50 AND RSI14 > 50 AND C > AVGC200 AND C > 7 AND AVGV50 > 1000

I also tried adding .001 to the C2 denominator, and it still didn't work.
I'll appreciate if you could walk me through, or come up with the formula for the following scenario:

a. Closing price drops more than 4% in the last 2 trading sessions,
b. 70 bar Wilder's RSI was greater than 50 two trading sessions ago,
c. Current bar's RSI 14 bar period is greater than 50,
d. Current bar's closing price is higher than 200 exp moving avg.,
e. Current bar's closing price is higher than $10,
f. Average volume for the last 50 bars is greater than 100,000 shares/bar.

Thanks for your support.
George.

Try this slightly modified version:

((C2 - C) / C2) * 100 > 4 AND RSI70.2 > 50 AND RSI14 > 50 AND C > XAVGC200 AND C > 10 AND AVGV50 > 1000

Let me know if it works.

Create the following SEPERATE PCFs for me:

1) Price Percent Change 2-day

(C-C2)/C2*100

2) RSI70.1 two days ago (if the AVG period you use on your RSI is not 1, then change the 1 here to anything)

RSI70.1.2

3) RSI14.1 Today(again, avg period as 1)

RSI14.1

4) Price as % of 200 xma

C/XAVGC200*100

5) Avg Vol 50-day

AVGV50

Once you create and calulate these 5 seperate PCFs go into EasyScan and add the build in condition:

Price Per Share (limit it to VALUES of 10 to MAX)

then add your PCFs with the following limits:

1) Price Percent Change 2-day (VALUE 4 to MAX)

2) RSI70.1 two days ago (VALUE 50 to MAX)

3) RSI14.1 Today(VALUE 50 to MAX)

4) Price as % of 200 xma (VALUE (100.01 to MAX)

5) Avg Vol 50-day (VALUE 1000 to MAX)

If you have any questions, please watch these videos first then come back here.

I am trying to create a chart to match the one I have on my trading platform.
I have tried to place (line) 25, 50, 200 day averages, stock price, and INDU on same chart. To go back to year 2004.
I need to see the daily price change and averages and have been told (support line) that your daily charted averages are 125, 250 and 1000. When I plot these, the charts don't look anything like the charts on my trading platform. It goes back to 2005. If I want to go back to 2004, I need to buy a premium edition at additional $100.00/mo so, since I have TC2000, I want to plot on it.

I hope you can help me. I am new at TC and am using the tutorial but it isn't there.

Thank you, Dori

To be clear:

1. You can place as many moving averages on price as you like with any period.

Check out these videos to learn how:

Customize your charts using Chart Templates

Adding, removing and saving indicators to a chart template

Understanding Moving Averages - Part I, The Basics

Understanding Moving Averages - Part II, Using Multiple Averages

Be sure they are plotted as simple or exponential (depending on what you had in your other program).

If you want a comparison of the DJ-30 on the chart you can use the comparison feature (the ticker for the DOW is DJ-30). Check out this video:

Compare price trends and price performance using Comparison Symbol and $100 scale

Once you've watched ALL of the videos and get everything plotted, check your scaling vs. your trading platform:
