Topic: Indicators ... "Tyrone"
Posted: Friday, May 26, 2006 4:13:29 PM
dori:

I can't seem to find any info on a TYRONE indicator. In TeleChart, there is no capability for automatic trendline drawing, other than plotting a linear regression line on your chart, which is a type of trendline.

Topic: Can you input notes in TC for indicators

Good suggestion by diceman. Also, you can plot more than one ROC indicator on the same chart, so you could look at the 12 and the 25 together.

Glad you figured it out, adimasxc. You are absolutely right....when you update your PCF's, you must do it for All Items in System. Don't know how your default was Media General Industry Groups...the system default is All Items in System. But now that you switched it, you should be fine.

I'm not sure what's going on here, Deion. When I bring up the Data Sheet for MSFT, I do not get N/A for Price as % of 52 week high. If updating does not solve the problem, you will need to contact our tech support department. They can be reached as follows:

You can use either of those, or any program that will allow you to save the list as a .txt file. Then, when you create a new WatchList, you can click the button that says Import from a File. Just specify the file name and path, and your list will be imported into a TeleChart watchlist.

Topic: Test values for PCF are ok but strange results when plotting to chart

A = Arithmetic (Same dollar difference between grid lines)
L = Logarithmic (Same percentage difference between grid lines)

T,M,and L are custom scaling options:

T = Tight
M = Medium
L = Loose

Topic: Finding Component stocks in media groups

Just two mouse clicks, Wildbill. Look up on the chart, just under the ticker. You'll see the industry pulldown menu. Click on it to pull it down. Now select Change Watchlist to Subindustry Components (you would have chosen Industry Components if the industry ticker had ended in zero...but you said it was MG844...tickers ending in something other than zero are sub-industries.)

Those two mouse clicks will take you to the component stocks in the MG844 sub-industry.
