Hi,
I am looking for descending triangles PCF. When i search the thread i am finding somuch of discussion and somany formulas and to go through each of them it is taking me lot of time.
For amatures like me it is really difficult to create a pcf without reading all that content. It would be nice if you can consolidate all these dicussions and make 1 thread and pin it.It should contain all the basic patterns like cup and handle, wedges, flag and pennent, ascending and decending triangles.
Now specifically please tell me what values should i choose in the scan if i were to view descending triangles. For ascending triangles i see the trainers values as following but i am not able to undersand for descending triangles.
I tried various combinations and i am not viewing any decending triangles.
High's slope 20-day
(I want the highs to be close to flat - moving sideways)
VALUE
90 - 110
Low's slope 20-day
(I want the lows to be increasing or sloping up)
VALUE
100 to MAX

Please consolidate atleast all the basic PCF's. There is somuch infomation about telechart and i do not know what to make out of it.Since you are the expert it would be very easy for you to consolidate all the discussions into 1 tread and this would help immensely for beginners like me.
thanks in advance

The trainers can't give setting, interpretation or investment advice. That said, the settings given seem to be for ascending triangles. To reverse this you would use the following instead:
High's slope 20-day
(I want the highs to be decreasing or sloping down)
VALUE
MIN to 100
Low's slope 20-day
(I want the lows to be close to flat - moving sideways)
VALUE
90 - 110
It is not as straightforward to consolidate all of the discussions into one thread as you might think. There are literally thousands of completely different topics related to "basic PCFs" because different investors have dramatically different questions and needs.
The following topics just relate to pattern recognition for example. Combining the various topics doesn't make a lot of sense because the techniques used can be completely and totally different even when trying to identify similar patterns.
Falling wedge
Cup with a handle formation
PCF for cup with a handle
Scanning for Chart Patterns
Scanning for Stocks Printing a Double or Triple Bottom
PCFs for pennants and flags
PCF's for Triangles
Does TeleChart support Elliott Wave indicators?
Double top/bottom trend
Finding Double Tops and Double Bottoms
CUP AND HANDLE AGAIN
Finding Continuation Triangles And Wedges With Telechart
Cup & Handle PCF
Double tops and bottoms
Flag wedge and pennant pcf
05/01/2012 Webinar: Trading the Flag and Pennant Patterns
Head and shoulders
TC 2000 Bull flags, Bear Flags
That said, I do not personally find pattern recognition in TC2000 to be particularly practical.
