I'm thinking of upgrading to Platinum when my subscription expires soon but there are a few features I would like clarification on:
1. Is there any intention to provide pre-maret data, even if only between 8.00-9.30am?
2. Looking at another thread it seems that real-time scanning is only enabled 15mins after the open and prior to this it uses the previous day. Do you know if/when this will be fixed?
3. Are real time TICK and TRIN enabled yet on TC2000 v12.3?

I do not know when or if pre or post market data might be added to TC2000.
Last week I had a discussion with management where I indicated that I thought the realtime EasyScan and WatchList Column issue during the first fifteen minutes of the trading day was the worst bug in the program (that's just my personal opinion). I was assured that the bug was a priority and would be resolved soon. That said, I could not say for sure exactly when it will be fixed.
Realtime $TICK and $TRIN symbols work in TC2000 version 7 Platinum, but they are fifteen minute delayed in TC2000 version 12.3. I do not know when or if this might change.

Thanks for the reply. I understand that this isn't your department per se but would it be possible to get a definitive statement from management regarding their intentions on points 1 and 3 as it appears from the forum posts that these requests have been on-going for a number of years? If its not even on the agenda now then we can reasonably assume that it won't happen in the next year or 2.

You are not going to get a definitive statement one way or the other. Worden Brothers does not normally comment on future products or features until they are officially announced or released.

Bruce,
I have previously complained about points 2 and 3 and it seems to me that 'management ' are not responding to customers needs and suggestions. So as a platinum customer I am considering down grading my subscription to gold when the time comes to renew.
Also I have to say that 99% of the recent upgrades to TC2000 have been of no use to me at all. The default layouts, news feeds and user groups are of no value - and to be blunt they are useless to me.
The PCF is a joke, its too limited. I can see that you are doing your best but some of the PCFs that you produce are very long and merely illustrate that a decent programming tool is needed instead.
When you can't resolve an issue that is posted you tend to respond by saying that it is assigned case number 12345, or whatever. You have responded like that with me and the issues are never resolved - repeat - they are NEVER resolved. That leaves me feeling unimpressed - not with you as I can see that you are simply doing your job.
I can only suggest that 'management' gets its act together and gives priority to responding to customers needs.

I would also agree with this and due to the ambiguity of when/if these features will be introduced I will not be upgrading to Platinum and have to think about whether its worth keeping on the Gold as I still need a real-time data feed/charting software.
I do not understand Worden's obsession with tinkering around the edges with fluff and trying to cram in as many features as possible while neglecting the more basic but critical requirements of real-time trading. Serious traders are not interested in out-dated news bulletins, social networking and twitter feeds to make decisions, and to sell real-time data but not provide this pre-market or scanning for the opening 15 minutes is ridiculous.
The scanning features and speed of execution are great but the product as a whole is let down by these simple omissions. I hope "management" are listening and maybe if enough people make the same point they will respond as they did with the Alerts.

As far as I am aware the Gold service uses data from The BATS exchange and it can be delayed by up to 15 minutes, which for me that is no better than using the freestockcharts TC2000 service. Looking back in my records I found that I paid $719 for a one year Platinum subscription to TC2000 (12 months for the price of 8 months special offer), purely to ensure true real time charts without the delays of the Gold service. I thought that it would give me an advantage when trading but I doubt that it really has.
Of course I get real time charts from my broker which are adequate but they lack the nice look and ease of use of TC2000. They are the charts that I actually trade with and use TC2000 as a supplement. for planning and stock selection. One thing that TC2000 has been useful for is doing real time scans of the basket of stocks I consider. That isn't essential now as I have other means of doing similar scans for free.
So I'm wondering why bother renewing any subscription to TC2000 at all. What benefit do I get that justifies a Platinum subscription which for another year would be $899.90 plus exchange fees $9.25 per month - thats a total of $1010.90 for one year. Right now I can't think of a reason to renew.
Real time data for charts, conditions and $TICK and $TRIN are what I need but the continuing problems with these put me off.

Bruce, I'd miss you in the forums, but we really need to find a way to get you promoted to the penthouse. :)
Geez, the first 15 miuntes of the trading day are kinda important. Ya think?!?
