hello,

I just wanted to know what the difference between tcNet and tc2000. Yesterday I was able to view Mr Worden's 1 hour video and I'm only a TC2000 member.

Does Mr Worden have a video every day for tcNet members? Are the different notes and chart for TCNet members?

Thanks
Ivan

Notes are the same but arrive in TCNet as soon as they are posted. The video you saw was viewable live in TCNet and members had the ability to interact with Mr. Worden. Mr. Worden does not do a Live Audio Chart Show every day but it is not rare to see him active in the chat channels interacting with the TCNet community.

Click HERE to see the many, MANY extra features TCNet gives.

Hi,
WRT TC2kF::
Would it be possible to add
Adv Issues, Decl Issues, Adv Volume, Decl Volume, New Highs, New Lows for Nasdaq?
(similar data for NYSE seem to be present, but without clear explanation in the Help guide).
It would be great to also have the Dow Jones indices for:
DJINET - internet
DJUSBK - banking
DJUSBM - basic materials
DJUSBT - biotech
DJUSCY - cyclical
DJUSEL -
DJUSEN - energy
DJUSFN - financials
DJUSHC - healthcare
DJUSNC - non-cyc
DJUSOI - oil
DJUSPM - precious metals
DJUSPR
DJUSRE - real estate
DJUSSC - semis
DJUSTC - technology
DJUSTL
DJUSUT - utilities
DJUSWC - wireless
All that would be a great asset to people trading index funds.

If possible, could you please tell us when to expect these additions?

Sincerely - alex
Doug_H

When you made this same request yesterday in a thread about Mutual Funds, Craig contacted the data department asking about the possibility of adding any or all of the above to the database. No word has come back yet. When a response is received, we will post it here.

This request really doesn't fit in this thread either. In the future, when you have a new topic, it would be best to post it as its own separate topic in the forums. You do this by clicking New Topic.

I will delete your post from the thread about Mutual Funds.

A/D for Nasdaq and Nasdaq 100 are T2125 and T2126. They are in your program now.

The Data Department is working on getting more of your requested symbols in the system as we speak. I will let you know.

Dear Craig:

I forgot to mention a smaller albeit may be more important
request (for me): would it be possible to add the data for
MWNIX (MFS INTL NEW DISCOVERY FD CLASS) and
DSFRX (Domini Social Equity R) to TC2000FUNDS ? Those are in my 401k and I need them dearly.

I would greatly appreciate that,

Cheers,

So as far as I can see TCNet is the same prog as TC2000 but unlocked for real time data and allowing intra day charting.. plus an extra set of charts that can be opened and shunted to another screen... drawbacks being that scanning intra day can only be done after a forced update?

If you upgrade to TCNet that means you drop TC2000 sub.. so basically presently $99 in total as a new sub? (less if paid annual in advance I note..)

Just checking the facts.. at the moment as well as TC2000 I have an esignal sub paid for a year in advance with some months to go so just planning ahead as I think my current trading style could manage with just your software..

One thing that I dont think you do but would be HUGE for me if you ever could.. is an api to export live data to excel.. any any chance that might ever happen??

TCNet also provides, among other things, news on every ticker, alerts (4 different types, including price alerts), clubs, and the ability to share charts and watchlists with other TCNet members. For a complete rundown of the features of both TC2000 and TCNet, Click Here .

As for the api to export live data, I really couldn't say if that is a possibility. What I will do is post this idea in the Product Suggestions forum for review and consideration by the development team.

Sorry should have mentioned those other things which I had noted also..

Would be grateful if you could do pass that api query on... is a fairly common thing these days.. esignal and interactive brokers both enable this now as many others also... would be a fantastic benefit as quite a few people do a lot of useful stuff with excel.. I use it all the time to monitor my open positions both long and short, with the formula power of excel you can have really detailed live monitoring of so many aspects of your positions..

I am able to see live updating portfolio (long and short).. entry and stop values as in nearness to stop etc.. with colour signals as they approach.. can relate to all closed positions also.. etc etc.. very useful stuff that none of the charting software I have ever used can really do.. no reason why they should as they are charting firstmost..

I think that there are developer api kits that would allow a third party clever person to link to real tine data providor and then api it to excel... perhaps they could ask here if anyone is able to do that in co-operation with your guys? Would save them the bother perhaps..

Thanks for the help anyway Doug.. not a problem anyway in the end as I can always continue to use IB to do it, just being hopeful...

SO are the TC2000 charts 20 mins delayed? How often does the data get updated?

When you do a data download in TC2000, the data you're getting is 20 minutes delayed. You can do this as many times as you want each day. Every time you initiate a download, the data that comes down is from 20 minutes prior to that time.

Hello,

Thanks a bunch to the Data Department for adding
MWNIX . However, it seems that the data for this
ticker is unadjusted for ditribution ::

MWNIX 12/16/2004 (drop of about 6%)

Could you please check this one up?

Thanks, and hope for more additions coming soon
from the Data Department, as requested above.

Craig, thank you much for taking care of this issue.
Unfortunately, the week is over but data has not been adjusted yet.
Is there a chance that the Data Department
will add the DJ indices me and others mentioned above,
realistically?
Other data vendors carry them.
Cheers

dalengo,
I'm looking at this over the weekend, and at 6:45AM to boot, so I don’t have any additional feedback to provide on the Dow Jones indexes. However, MWNIX shows a $1.12 Dividend/Distribution on 12/16/2004 that makes for a chart with no big drops when Show Unadjusted for Splits is unchecked.

If you have downloaded, and your charts do not correctly reflect the Dividend/Distribution, you might want to contact technical support to see if there is an issue with your program. All e-mail communication sent to support@worden.com during business hours (Monday through Friday 9AM-11PM and Saturday and Sunday 9AM-3PM ET) should be answered within 20 minutes of arrival. For an even quicker response to tech support questions, we recommend calling our voice line at (919) 408-0542 (there is no phone support on Sundays or after 9PM ET on weekdays).

Bruce,
I see no changes on 12/16/2004 for MWNIX, whether or not the
Show Unadjusted for Splits is checked. I am using the current
version of TC2000 for funds.

I am wondering if there is a way to get a direct response
from your Data Department on the issues we've raised here?
I was asking about those indices (see above) for months via email Support.
All the indices are available from other places like Yahoo, but their
sources are not very reliable, so I thought that you can provide the
clean data and this will attract more people to try your product.
Cheers - alex

We are finding a discrepency from one version of the funds to another. We will get this corrected. You should see it in the next few days. We regret the confussion.
