If I want to be able to search for stocks that are stronger than an index and stronger than other stocks within the same group can I do that?

Can I do the reverse?

Can I also add a volume indicator to the search?

thanks

One option would be to sort your symbols based on performance and flag symbols that outperform or underperform your benchmark index or Industry Group. You may wish to review the following:

Sorting Stocks by their Absolute or Relative Performance
How to use the Flagging feature
Use Comparison and Relative Strength graphs to compare a stock to the rest of its industry group
Using the Industry Menu to analyze stocks relative to their industries and sub-industries
Uncover the stocks driving the strongest industry groups

You could use any of the built in Volume related System Indicators (Volume 1/5/90-Day for example) as an EasyScan Condition and adjust the Rangefinder to meet your needs. If you wanted to use a different timeframe for volume, you could create your own Personal Critera Formula to use a Sort or EasyScan Condition. For example, a 21-Period Exponential Moving Average of Volume could be created as the following PCF:

XAVGV21

You may wish to review the following:

Using EasyScan to find stocks that meet your own criteria
Definitions of all built in scanning and sorting criteria
