Hi Bruce

Wuold you help me with two PCF scans where;

-The monthly RSI is at a 3-year high

-The monthly MACD is at a 3y high

Not sure if its possible.

Thanks

Something like the following (using a monthly time frame)?

WRSI14 = MAX(WRSI14, 36)

And:

MACD12.26 = MAX(MACD12.26, 36)

Bruce formula for RSI above that u did , i just modified to my need

WRSI14 = MAX(WRSI14, 252)   this gives me max wrsi value in last 252 bars

WRSI14 = MIN(WRSI14, 252)   this gives me min wrsi value in last 252 bars

 So my question is

How to get Second Lowest High value in 252 bars and third lowest high value in 252 bars for wrsi 14

and

How to get Second Highest Low value in 252 bars and third Highest low value in 252 bars for wrsi 14

thanks

You don't. the formulas are theoretically possible, but way too long and slow to be practical for Wilder's RSI over 252 bars.

Okay Bruce no worries.. but one more question...

In the above PCF that I did for max and min... if i wish to know Divergence function

for example " WYNN" on 4 hour chart

the above Min252 low pcf was true and then the wrsi 14 moves higher while price is making lower low , s

So now my question is how to write this pcf when Price is Making Lower LOW while WRSI14 is making Higher Low after confirming WRSI14 = MIN(WRSI14, 252)

and reverse for knowing when price is making HIGHER HIGH while WRSI14 is making Lower High after cofirming WRSI14 = MAX(WRSI14, 252)   example "NFLX " on hourly chart

thanks

The basic idea would be the following. But this is the longest lookback without being too long and slow to be practical or post in the forums, and I am not sure it goes back far enough to be useful to you.

L < IIF(WRSI14.1 = MIN(WRSI14.1, 252), IIF(WRSI14 > WRSI14.1, L1, L - 1), IIF(WRSI14.2 = MIN(WRSI14.2, 252), IIF(WRSI14 > WRSI14.2, L2, L - 1), IIF(WRSI14.3 = MIN(WRSI14.3, 252), IIF(WRSI14 > WRSI14.3, L3, L - 1), IIF(WRSI14.4 = MIN(WRSI14.4, 252), IIF(WRSI14 > WRSI14.4, L4, L - 1), 1 / 0))))

Ok Bruce let me test them and i will come back with my questions if any ... thanks

by the way on V18 can we now figure out to scan and sort WRSI14 current value in terms of fibonacci percentage when retracement drawn from Fractal higher high to  lower low  and vice versa ..

I can put images if u need to know of what i m intending to achieve but i asked u this question last year

thanks

No. This already uses the techniques we used for price and this is all the longer we can make it. Wilder's RSI is way more computationally intensive than just price on its own.
