Before I ask that, why are we discussing in the header version 12 when we are on version 16?

I can no longer set alerts base on price because I "don't have real time permission"

When did that start?

I can't edit the above posts.  I have 0 active alerts.  Shouldn't I be allowed 100?

You still have 100 alerts in TC2000 v12 using the BATS data. The alerts in TC2000 v16 require a real time feed of some sort in order to work.

Thanks Busterram

I've been using TC 2000 for at least 6 years and never needed permission.  One other time they were going to charge for alerts, but that idea died before it was implemented.

So I need to pony up another ~50% more to get the same features for which I paid a year in advance?

Did they nofify people of this?

You do not have to pony up any extra money to use the 100 alerts available with TC2000 v12.5 Gold.

You do need a real time data feed of some sort in order to use alerts at all in TC2000 v16.

I get real time data from TD Ameritrade.  I see no way to connect that to TC2000 v16.  I guess I should have paid more attention before i installed the upgrade.  I'm guessing there is no way back to V12?

You can definitely re-install TC2000 v12.5.

Bruce,

I am assuming one can use v16 with bats just that alerts won't work in v16 unless real time data is subscribed to? Is that correct?

This seem to be a complaint from many. I am curious why v16 cannot work just on bats data for Alerts even though v12 can work on bats data ?

Thank you,

TC2000 v16 doesn't have the BATS data at all. A symbol in TC2000 v16 is either 15 minute delayed or has full streaming real time data from the consolidated tape depending on what real time data feeds are available.

I upgraded to v16, noticed this issue as well and moved back to v12.  I now see that sp-500 index is on 15-minute delay and I have to pony up $25 extra per month if I want to see that index update as frequently as does yahoo finance for no cost.  I've been using tc2000 for years as well so I found this very surprising and a bit back-handed as well.  If you are going to change your pricing structure, you should be upfront about it.  Just raise the gold price to $40-50 and be upfront about it as opposed to removing services which would push folks into spending more.

The SP-500 index shows the latest 15 minutes estimated in version 12.5, the same as it always has.  Previous to June of this year, you were using the Platinum service with real time data. Since you are now on Gold, you can add real time data for US stocks for $14.99 and US indices for $9.99.

What they are doing is pretty lame.  There are many of us which do not need real time data but we do need alerts.  What i see happening is that they are going to stop supporting v12.5, 12.6 at some point and then force us into 16 and to pay up for the real time feed.   I have been a TC2000 user for probably over 20 years and i am not happy about this treatement.
