Looking to create a PCF that identifies an unusual price surge out of a probable basing pattern.  Would like to scan for stocks that move above the upper band of a 200-day Bollinger Band. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

David

I probably wouldn't create a Condition Formula for this in TC2000 version 12.4. You should be able to just add the Bollinger Bands to the chart, adjust the settings of the Bollinger Bands as desired and click on Price History (the green symbol and possibly company name in the same pane where price is plotted) to select Create Scan Condition.

Create Conditions from Your Chart

You can just select Price History Crossing Up Chan Top in the Price History vs Bollinger Bands section to create the condition.
