Is it possible to find channeling stocks where the channel is three dollars or more wide and the current price of the stock near to either support of resistant.

Also please tell me where I will find any answer you send me

Any answer is going to be in the same topic where you asked the question.

Any Personal Criteria Formula or EasyScan to find a channel is going to depend on your particular unambiguous objective definition of a channel (and/or support and resistance).

How long does the channel need to be? What makes it a channel as opposed to just a stock with a trading range of less than $3 over whatever minimum length is chosen for the channel?

Thanks

Personal Criteria Formulas and EasyScans only work in TeleChart.

How to create a Personal Criteria Forumula (PCF)
Using EasyScan to find stocks that meet your own criteria

In StockFinder, you would create either Drag and Drop Conditions or RealCode Conditions and then use them as a Scan or Filter.

Creating Conditions
Writing Conditions in RealCode
Scanning with Conditions
Filtering Lists

That said, the basic development in both programs is the same. You need to objectively define exactly what you are looking for and then convert that into terms that the program will understand to be able to identify the desired Channels.

Please help me write a PCF or easy scan to find support and resistance

Support = Price of the stock hit the line at least three times without going below the line
The price should go up after hitting the line to resistance

Resistance = Price of stock hit the line at least three times without going above the line
The price should go down after hitting the line to the support line

Use a period of 90 days
The width of the channel shold be $3.00 Plus

Can you also help me write a PCF or easy scan to find either support or resistance
Support = Price of the stock hit the line at least three times withou going below the line
Resistance = Price of the stock hit the line at least three times withou going above the line
Use a period of 90 days

If the same thing will work in stock finder please tell me the plus an nimus using each system
I have a triial on both and if one of these software can find the stocks I am looking for I would
like to end up using one software.

Can the results have stocks that is 3.00 plus between the support and resistance and the current price is near  to either support or resistance

Thank You

Your definition is unambiguous (excepting there is not a definition of near), but occurs relatively rarely. A Personal Criteria Formula without the "near" portion could be written as:

ABS(L > L1 AND L1 = MINL90) - (L1 > L2 AND L2 = MINL90) - (L2 > L3 AND L3 = MINL90) - (L3 > L4 AND L4 = MINL90) - (L4 > L5 AND L5 = MINL90) - (L5 > L6 AND L6 = MINL90) - (L6 > L7 AND L7 = MINL90) - (L7 > L8 AND L8 = MINL90) - PCF Formula Descriptions
Handy PCF example formulas to help you learn the syntax of PCFs!

Checking for the PCF to be "near" the Max or Min instead of exactly hitting it would relax the requirements and probably result in more hits. This would require a definition of near however (which is also required to test for price being currently near support and or resistance).

The RealCode version for StockFinder would probably be somewhat shorter than the Personal Criteria Formula given above for TeleChart (I will create it once the requirements are finalized). It could also be made to be adjustable while the TC PCF needs to be completely re-written whenever you adjust the settings.

Hi

Can this PCF be modified so that
1. The results have only stocks that is in a horizontal channel only where the support and resistance lines
are horizontal lines east to west.
2. The support and resistance lines= the price of the stock hit the line at least 3 times
2. The channel is $3.00 or more

If clarification or more info is needed please ask me questions

Thank You

MINL90 and MAXH90 are always horizontal. The Personal Criteria Formula already checks for these values to be hit at least 3 times and for them to be at least $3 apart.

Can anyone help me reverse this code to find stocks near support?

C=MAXC120 AND C>(MAXC120.60)*.99 AND C<(MAXC120.60)*1.01

Try this:

C=MINC120 AND C<(MINC120.60)*1.01 AND C>(MINC120.60)*.99

Thanks
