I am interested in a scan for change in insider holdings.  I see TC has a % shares held by insiders.  I don't know how, or how often, the information is updated.  How would a scan be built to scan this information even if it is quarter over quarter; though monthly/weekly changes would be REALLY NICE.

Thanks
Mark

The information is updated on a Weekly basis (each Saturday).

Bruce...How do I write a scan for this change?  I am new to TC and am constantly confused with functions of TC and SF....these programs should be integrated....it keeps me confused.

I somehow missed that you were interested in scanning for the change itself or I would have mentioned that this is not possible in TeleChart. Only the most recent value of the built in Fundamental System Criteria is available in TeleChart. So you could create an EasyScan for the % Shares, but not for the change in the % Shares.

It is possible to create a Condition for changes in fundamentals and use it as a Scan in StockFinder Platinum (but not StockFinder Gold) because it has historical fundamentals.

Thank you Bruce.  Does the system retain any of the historical data that may be scanned?  It would be nice to be able to calculate the %/rate changed from period to period.

I really like the market smith layout on IBD site.

Thanks again.

TeleChart does not retain historical data. Only the most recent value of the built in Fundamental System Criteria is available in TeleChart.

Please try using the following Personal Criteria Formula as an EasyScan Condition (you can change AVGC to XAVGC if the Moving Average is Exponential instead of Simple):

AVGC10 > AVGC20 AND AVGC10.1 <= AVGC20.1

20 day ma crossing over the 50 day ma

AVGC20 > AVGC50 AND AVGC20.1 <= AVGC50.1
