Hi all
I have posted part of this elsewhere but thought i would repost and add another query.

1. I want to be able to include in a scan "close/last in the top 30% of the days range".
2. ADX line greater than 1 day ago.

I have tried doing this but have been unsuccessful.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

You can always find your old posts (and our responses) in these forums. Watch this short video for me:

Learn how to use the forums: post a new topic, reply, Search existing topics

For #1 create this PCF:

Close as % of Range

100*(C-L)/(H-L)

Add it to any EasyScan and limit the VALUES to 70 to MAX

Here are two videos to help you

How to create a Personal Criteria Forumula (PCF)

Using EasyScan to find stocks that meet your own criteria

#2 Here are a few videos/posts to help you scan for your ADX:

Sorting by the ADX indicator

PCF for Wilder's DX, and/or a CI for Wilder's ADX

Sort by indicator or price movement using Visual Change sorts

Hi Craig
For #1. I wrote it as 100*(C-L)/(H-L)>=70 in the PCF.Works fine.Thanks.
For #2. I have spent several hrs clicking links and reading a lot of posts to have come to the conclusion that what I want to be able to do, can't be done simply. This is what I want to add onto what I have already written and #1. ADX14 > ADX14.1 AND +DI14 > +DI14.1 AND -DI14 < -DI14.1
Is it just a simple "can't be done" as of yet in TC??
Regards

Correct. There is not an ADX or DI function available in the PCF language.

As for #1, try the method I give (without the Boolean >70). It will allow you to find stocks closing at any percentage of their range without making a new PCF AND it will make a great sort condition.
