How does the weekly chart work?

Hope this isn't to dumb a question but when I'm looking at a weekly chart, is it like updating like from Monday thru Friday? In other words, does one candle or bar remain in place and change shape thru the week until Friday and then remain a fixed shape after that? Any help would be appreciated.

The most recent WEEKLY candle contains these four points

The OPEN 4 days ago
The highest HIGH for the last 5 days
The lowest LOW for the last 5 days
The most recent price/close

The weekly candles are non-calendar 5-day charts.

It would be a great addition to the program if we could choose between the weekly bar as it is and a calander week.
