hi Bruce , is their a difference between ( smi ergodic ) and smi ( only ) and if their is, do you have a pcf

for a short period of 3 and a long period of 5. Because john cater use a smi of that period on is platform and if i put a same period on the smi ergodic it does not macth

The SMI Ergodic indicator and Stochastic Momentum Index indicator are different, but SMI Ergodic would be the version with only 2 periods which can be set. The Stochastic Momentum Index indicator usually has 3 or 4 periods which can be set.

Not for a plain SMI 3,5... because it would need more periods specified than just two.

You can add the following as a Custom PCF Indicator.

200 * (2 * (XAVGC5 - (XAVG(MAXH3,5) + XAVG(MINL3,5)) / 2) - (XAVGC3 - (XAVG(MAXH3,3) + XAVG(MINL3,3)) / 2)) / (2 * (XAVG(MAXH3,5) - XAVG(MINL3,5)) - (XAVG(MAXH3,3) - XAVG(MINL3,3)))

With a 3-period exponential moving average added as a signal line.
