Can I do with TC2000 Gold premarket scans? I want gappers over 3% on premarket., if not, can I do that with platinum, and how?, a nice video demo would be appreciated before buying platinum

No, you cannot currently scan on the premarket data in Gold or Platinum. Right now pre-market data is only displayed on the charts.

Bruce, is it possible to set up a scenario whereby I've got a price colum (representing yesterday's close), and a bid column (representing the premarket price (TC2k platinum  does give this) - and be able to somehow scan or set up an additional column showing a check mark where the bid is higher than the close?  (preferably being able to designate a % minimum would be useful).

Thanks in Advance

Al F.

No, it is not currently possible. The only way to make such comparisons in TC2000 would be to include both values in a PCF, and the Personal Criteria Formula Language does not have syntax for referencing the bid or ask.

Thanks. Would be a really neat trick if they can do it.

Also, I wondering if there's a way to setup TC2K V12 to have the Top 20 gainers as a Column?

or Top 20 Most Volume?

or Top 20 Top Losers?

in either NYSE or NASDAQ?

thanx

You can create a WatchList Column for % Change by clicking Add Column and choosing % Change from the list.

There is no built in way to limit the results of an EasyScan based on % Change to a specific number of symbols however. About the closest thing you can do is limit the % Change to a percentile RANK based on US Stocks, NASDAQ, NYSE or Canadian Stocks.

There are currently 2595 stocks in the NASDAQ component WatchList and 4252 items in the NYSE component WatchList. So if you could set the RANK to 99.229 to Max vs NASDAQ for the NASDAQ WatchList or 99.529 to Max vs NYSE for the NYSE WatchList, you could get a list with 20 stocks if there weren't any ties. There isn't a way to set the percentile rank so precisely however.

So would I need 2 EasyScans to do this?  I'm trying to figure out how NOT to have 6 scans.

ie. one for NYSE stocks only, and one for NASDAQ Stocks  then

have 3 columns for each of % Price (how to rank?),   Top1% VOLume,  and Bottom 1% Price...?

thanx

There is no way to use OR on RANK based conditions in TC2000 version 12.3. The only way to have a condition be RANK based is to use an EasyScan and an EasyScan always ANDs its EasyScan Condition. To appear on the list, the symbols must meet all of the requirements of the EasyScan.

If you do in fact want to AND the requirements but end up with 20 symbols in the EasyScan (I really can't tell from your post), there is no way to do that either. If you took the top 1% of % Change and Volume and the bottom 1% of Price, there is no guarantee that there would be any overlap at all. You could end up with 0 symbols meeting all three requirements.

It would be a multi-step process, but you could use flagging to get the top 20 symbols in both WatchLists for each of your requirements and OR them together.

Flagging Symbols

You would clear all flags in system and then use the WatchList Columns for % Change, Volume and Price to sort the NYSE and NASDAQ WatchLists (or a combined Personal WatchList containing both if that is what you want). Just flag the top 20 symbols after each sort and switch to All Flagged Symbols WatchList when you were done.

There are built in Price, Today's Volume and Today's % which can be added by selecting Add Column.

Sorting with Pre-Built Columns

I got it but more than 20...  6 EasyScans needed but not all 3 in one EasyScan(sorry for the miscommunication)

but only 5 streaming WLists at any 1 time.  hmmm?

thanx

I do not have a way around the limit on the number of streaming WatchLists.

If you do not need to the exchanges on their own, you could create a combined Personal WatchList containing all of the symbols in the NASDAQ and NYSE WatchLists to use as the List to Scan in the EasyScan.

I do not know when the ability to scan pre and post market data might be added.

Is it possible to scan data in pre-market/after hours trading? That is in version 18?

No, it is not possible to scan based on the pre / post market data in TC2000 v18.
