Is the stock price for Sprint Nextel really undervalued?
The market value closed at $3.60.
I believe it is undervalued.Maybe it will be a good pick.
Any ideas on this stock?
Thank you

You could make the argument its undervalued.
P/S of about .3
Book value $6
The question is are you willing to wait for wallstreet to reward it?
Are you willing to sit through more of a decline if necessary?
In the markets things can stay under/over valued for quite some time.
Thanks

If Sprint would quit trying to overbill their customers every month, they might be able to build a bigger customer base. Maybe their CEO used to work for the IRS.

I am a sprint customer myself so I know exactly what you mean.
I am also aware of the fact that they are applying huge costs for not paying your bills on time.
Those costs are increasing during time until you finally pay them.
Anyways, their overbilling every month definitely makes some potential customers not to want to get sprint but they also attract many customers because of their phones they provide such as HTC touch pro 1,2 and many many others that only sprint has.
I think that once Sprint changes its billing system and makes it a little bit more affordable to attract new customers its stock will have a long rally. The question is:When is this going to happen?and how can we learn about it if we don't have inside information?news?

Just want to point out that several other mobile operators (Verizon, T-Mobile, US-Cellular) also offer the HTC Touch Pro 2 so I don't see this as a selling point for Sprint. In fact, I have an HTC Touch Pro 2 with Sprint and I think it is actually an example of a product that HURTS Sprint because they charge more than any other provider for the phone after the contract subsidies but they are the only operator who does not currently support WinMo 6.5 for it yet. This has many many customers, including me, very frustrated at the moment.
But look, it looks like this week they are FINALLY releasing it: http://www.mobilecrunch.com/2010/03/16/sprint-touch-pro2-windows-mobile-6-5-winmo-update/
I wonder if this could have a small impact on stock prices? Doubtful I guess but that's the best I can do as far as inside info. xD

Interesting that the day the upgrade does come out Sprint goes up 5% while the rest of the market tumbles.
Coincidence?....likely!
