I think you are wrong. I see a test of the 12,000 before a pass of the 14,000 - it may be slow so - mostly with the fed trying to bail out the sick financials.
In fact the SP500 already has been there - at 1375 - which corresponds to the 12,000 level I was talking about on the Dow.
That only happened intraday so, but that is the first sign.
(removed by Moderator) as of right now has no confirmation of change in character. When and if it happens, then I will see it that way.
good luck

Everyone tries to figure this market, and whomever writes on this website is because from the bottom of the hearts with good intentions (also included monetary rewards of their own) and convictions and very important very constructive, not obstructive. let's see what happends, all I know is that I went into cash including 403b on July 30 and I bought back on that key reversal on Aug 16! so I saved my gains from eroding for more than to weeks and I bought back cheaper, thus I got more shares now, and of what I see now is that we are having Bernake in our side and having good follow-thru to the upside!

Could be just a bounce signaltap2. Too much volatility, too much high grade commercial paper coming due with no buyers. For now, I sure don't want to be holding anything over a weekend. Like BigBlock says, good luck.

With all due respect, use the recommended linear regression channels in today's worden report and look at the weekly charts. One will see a climb to the top of the channels for SPY, QQQQ, and DIA on average volume with EXTREMELY divergent MS from the last highs on the charts. I would be very suspicious of this rally and not rush in with new money until the market displays a better low risk set-up. Smells like a bull trap set by the big boys to squeeze the last dollars out of retail investors before a "real" correction in the market.
