Hi I am interested if anyone has successfully added this indicator to Telechart 2005. I read about it in Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities. It appears to be quite useful but Telechart 2005 does not have it as an indicator. The basic CLV indicator is easy enough, but for the Oscillator i need to have the CLV 3 day exponential moving average less the CLV 10 -day exponential moving average. Oh also volume by price looked interesting but it leverages the y-axis which i don't think we can do in Telechart.

Ok I can see the previous discussion wth Bruce, however i can't follow it all, the reply by Bruce that seemed to be the answer Bruce added caveats and uncertainty then the following solutions appear to be 26 day. Could someone post the working tested solution - thanks.

Once you get this indicator plotted, how do you interpret it?

I do not use this indicator so this is just my opinion.
In general this should be viewed in the same style as the MACD histogram.
Above zero positive. Below zero negative.
Rising positive. Falling negative.
Signals carry more weight when they are in the direction of the major trend.
One of the major differences between this and the MACD histogram is this has a
volume component to it. (MACD is just price)
If you look at the stock "BA"(Boeing) with this indicator.
Notice bottoms(short term) were in sync with V bottoms in the indicator.

Notice all theses were in the direction of the long term price trend(up).
Another way to use the indicator is to look for divergence between price and the indicator.

The indicator heads down while the stock price is relatively flat. This indicates a positive divergence. When the indicator shows the V bottom there is more confidence on the buy side.
