Topic: General Help becoming an Affiliate!
Posted: Wednesday, July 10, 2013 11:38:28 AM

QUOTE (pthegreat)

Let's check back in 8months and see how you did with real money.     in the mean time, care to share what indicators/system you use?

And for Bruce/Worden : I am an affiliate as well, and have asked about my account status for several weeks now (since the affiliation page is "under construction"), but I am not getting any replies what so ever. Not a biggie, but I signed up merely to promote worden and try and get you some more customers, since I like the products (particular SF), and I believe in win-win situations : more customers, more revenue, more chance of SF development (hopefully).

But, like I said, no response, so if there is no interest from Worden, then why should I keep spinning my wheels?

I am also an affiliate for Worden and have on a monthly basis emailed Mr. Thompson asking for updates on the program and why the page is still "under construction" and why I have not received any checks for any month of 2013.   I have received a response back one time.   I am starting to believe that the program has just been shut down.   That's certainly in Worden's rights to do, but I am amazed that no communication via email or anything has been sent out to affiliates. A simple email explaining things would have been much appreciated.  Worden has always been a very friendly company in my dealings with customer service and I am surprised by their handling of this issue.   I guess there is little reason to promote the software when the program isn't running.

I really like it as well but does anyone think the charts and overall program look "fuzzier" than Telechart 2007?    I had them side by side on my screen and there was a noticeable difference.   The old program was much sharper.    Maybe it's just me.
Topic: No New High in 65 Days - What about IPOs?
Posted: Monday, January 17, 2011 7:22:08 PM
Hi, Bruce.   I am using an indicator where part of it includes a criteria of no new high from the past 65 days.  (C<MAXC65)

However, this indicator (from what I can tell) becomes useless if the stock has less than 65 days of trading history, i.e. IPOs.   I would like to create a PCF that keeps the criteria for the C<MAXC65 but if the stock trades less than that, the criteria for no new high would be for just the number of days the stock has traded (if that makes sense).

I don't know if this can be done on Telechart or if it would be a Stockfinder-only type criteria.   If you have any advice, I will take it.   Thank you and I appreciate your time.

Thanks Bruce.   So "MAX(XAVGC9, 5)" is the max of the past five sessions, correct?   If I use that it should certainly make the formula shorter.   I'll try it out.

Hi, I am working on a PCF for moving averages moving sideways in a tight range of 5-10 days.   Once I get the general scan, I am fine with adjusting it in terms of days and how tight the range should be.

I don't know if MAXH10-MINL10<.02 would work if you replaced H and L for XAVGC9.  I don't think it will.

I was thinking of something like...

((XAVGC9<XAVG9.1*1.01) AND (XAVGC9>XAVGC9.1*.99)) AND ((XAVGC9<XAVG9.2*1.01) AND (XAVGC9>XAVGC9.2*.99)) AND
((XAVGC9<XAVG9.3*1.01) AND (XAVGC9>XAVGC9.3*.99)) AND......

so on with as many days as I would want (this would be for a range of 2% total or less).

Would this work OK, or is there an easier way to set this up?   I am just looking for periods where the MA moves sideways.   Thank you for any guidance you can give.

I have tried to delete the old PCF and paste it over to get it working again - no luck.   All of my other PCFs are fine, but I continue to get zero for the results of these two scans.   I have no clue why.

I have updated numerous times since Wednesday - same result.   It has worked for over a year.   A few days ago, I believe I got one of those messages that says "Telechart needs to organize your data, this may take several minutes" or something like that.   Maybe that messed something up.   I have no clue why this one scan isn't working now.

Thank you, but IBM was the test signal - I think that one has plenty of data.  I would understand the "not enough data" if it was an IPO.   It was working fine until Wednesday I think.   then it just stopped picking stocks up in the scan.   I have no clue.

Hi, I run two scans and keep track of the numbers I get each day - one scan is for stocks in an uptrend via guppy MMAs and one is for stocks in downtrends via guppy MMAs.

The scans are as follows....

Downtrend
XAVGC3 < XAVGC30 AND XAVGC5 < XAVGC30 AND XAVGC7 < XAVGC30 AND XAVGC10 < XAVGC30 AND XAVGC12 < XAVGC30 AND XAVGC15 < XAVGC30 AND XAVGC3 < XAVGC35 AND XAVGC5 < XAVGC35 AND XAVGC7 < XAVGC35 AND XAVGC10 < XAVGC35 AND XAVGC12 < XAVGC35 AND XAVGC15 < XAVGC35 AND XAVGC3 < XAVGC40 AND XAVGC5 < XAVGC40 AND XAVGC7 < XAVGC40 AND XAVGC10 < XAVGC40 AND XAVGC12 < XAVGC40 AND XAVGC15 < XAVGC40 AND XAVGC3 < XAVGC45 AND XAVGC5 < XAVGC45 AND XAVGC7 < XAVGC45 AND XAVGC10 < XAVGC45 AND XAVGC12 < XAVGC45 AND XAVGC15 < XAVGC45 AND XAVGC3 < XAVGC50 AND XAVGC5 < XAVGC50 AND XAVGC7 < XAVGC50 AND XAVGC10 < XAVGC50 AND XAVGC12 < XAVGC50 AND XAVGC15 < XAVGC50 AND XAVGC3 < XAVGC60 AND XAVGC5 < XAVGC60 AND XAVGC7 < XAVGC60 AND XAVGC10 < XAVGC60 AND XAVGC12 < XAVGC60 AND XAVGC15 < XAVGC60

Uptrend
XAVGC3 > XAVGC30 AND XAVGC5 > XAVGC30 AND XAVGC7 > XAVGC30 AND XAVGC10 > XAVGC30 AND XAVGC12 > XAVGC30 AND XAVGC15 > XAVGC30 AND XAVGC3 > XAVGC35 AND XAVGC5 > XAVGC35 AND XAVGC7 > XAVGC35 AND XAVGC10 > XAVGC35 AND XAVGC12 > XAVGC35 AND XAVGC15 > XAVGC35 AND XAVGC3 > XAVGC40 AND XAVGC5 > XAVGC40 AND XAVGC7 > XAVGC40 AND XAVGC10 > XAVGC40 AND XAVGC12 > XAVGC40 AND XAVGC15 > XAVGC40 AND XAVGC3 > XAVGC45 AND XAVGC5 > XAVGC45 AND XAVGC7 > XAVGC45 AND XAVGC10 > XAVGC45 AND XAVGC12 > XAVGC45 AND XAVGC15 > XAVGC45 AND XAVGC3 > XAVGC50 AND XAVGC5 > XAVGC50 AND XAVGC7 > XAVGC50 AND XAVGC10 > XAVGC50 AND XAVGC12 > XAVGC50 AND XAVGC15 > XAVGC50 AND XAVGC3 > XAVGC60 AND XAVGC5 > XAVGC60 AND XAVGC7 > XAVGC60 AND XAVGC10 > XAVGC60 AND XAVGC12 > XAVGC60 AND XAVGC15 > XAVGC60

These scans worked perfectly for over a year until this past week, when I have gotten "zero" as the number for both.   I changed nothing on scan or in Telechart.   It just seemed to stop working.   All other scans are normal.   When I test the scan, I get the message "not enough data to calculate".   Weird.

Any help would be appreciated.    Thank you very much.
Topic: Close over 10 Day MA for 7 weeks or more
Posted: Wednesday, September 22, 2010 8:10:22 PM
Hi, is there a simpler way to set a PCF for a stock closing above its 10 day MA for seven straight weeks other than....

(C>AVGC10) AND (C1>AVGC10.1) AND (C2>AVGC10.2).....etc. all the way up to (C35>AVGC10.35)

Also, is that AVGC10.35 correct for the 10 day MA 35 days ago?   Thanks in advance for your help.
