Thanks.  Good answer.  Wasn't sure if I were a doofus or not.  Just wanted to make you aware if you weren't.

I am not running Windows RT.  I am running full Windows 8 with Silverlight and downloaded the application to my computer.  It's fine when the tablet is connected to the keyboard because it has a touchpad, but when in tablet mode, there is no keypad so I can't right-click.  With many applications, holding down your finger for a few seconds brings up a box that gives additional functionality. Unfortunately, the whole application isn't compatible with a touch screen - no ability to zoom-in, zoom-out using the touchscreen.  I don't care that much about that but I would like to be able to reach the items on the menus you get by right-clicking and I don't see any other way to get to them.

It doesn't appear that one can right-click to see comparisons, etc on a Windows 8 touchscreen tablet.  Is there a way of doing it and, if not, are there plans to make it compatible with Windows 8 tablets?

Topic: Assigning a date to a note
Posted: Thursday, January 31, 2013 2:46:44 PM

In the past I could set the date I wanted the note to correspond to.  It seems now I can only have the date of the note be on the date it is written.  If I want a note written today to appear at a previous date, is it possible do so?

Topic: Compare % change in stock to % change in sp-500 ytd

Thanks for your response.  Here's what I did.  I used the formula above (*100) to compute the YTD %.  I included SP-500 in my watchlist and then sorted on the YTD %.  That way I have a list showing all stocks in watchlist above and below the YTD % of the S&P.  It's easy to see by how much by comparing the two percentages. I'm not able to plot it over time but at least I can get an instantaneous view.

Topic: Compare % change in stock to % change in sp-500 ytd

I've tried to make a pcf to measure the percentage change in a stock to that of the sp-500.  For the former I used (c-c'12/30/11')/c'12/30/11' which seems to work.  However, I can't figure out a legitimate way to compute the corresponding % for the SP-500.  I know the symbol SP-500 is recognized by the PCF syntax but I can't figure out how to get the starting value for the year into the formula.  Any help is appreciated.  I want %change in c ytd - %change in SP-500 ytd.  Thanks.

Topic: Current value column

Is there a way to multiply the price column by the number of shares column to get current value?  Would allow ranking of portfolio stocks by current market value.

Just saw "center zero line" entry on window for defining custom indicator. Problem solved.

I have created a custom indicator in the middle window and would like to know when it is above or below zero. Is there a way to do that?
