Topic: Feature Request if not available?
Posted: Friday, July 26, 2013 5:09:51 AM

Thanks Bruce, as a TC2000 Gold subscriber can I access version 7 and maybe even run the two along side each other?

ps could the linking of the zoom be put put forward as a official feature request please? It is very useful when analysing sectors/indexs and the stocks in it.

Thank you for the speedy response. I'm very impressed by both the software and the level of help here, it's great.

Hi, it's possible to link time frames on two separate charts but is it (or could it be) possible to link the "scroll bar" that sets your number of bars viewable at the bottom of two (or more) charts?

I like to trade intraday with the index chart above the stock I am trading. With TC200 I have to manually match the number of bars visible between the two charts which is a little clunky. Is there a way of doing this automatically at present?

By way of example, at stockcharts.com you can add an index (or any other symbol) in a pane above or below the chart you are looking at, any changes to the number of bars viewed on the main chart is also applied to the index above it.

Hope that makes sense?

Topic: Condition Indicator occurence in last x days?
Posted: Wednesday, July 24, 2013 5:37:45 PM

Hi, I'm struggling with the following:

I have created an indicator (and a scan of it) that looks like ((C-C1)> etc etc) and I have that indicator on my chart.

1) How would I scan for such an event not today but within say the last 10,20 or 30 days etc please?

2) The second question is that I want to then add to the above a second conditon of proximity to a moving average, and have found on the forum this formula which I think is what I need?

ABS(C / AVGC200 - 1) <= .01

this apparently show prices between 99-101% of the 200 day MA. So I can substitute the '200' for the MA I want but if i wanted to play around with the percentages either side do I just change the '0.01' to say .02 for 2% either side? i.e. can you only search for equal deviations each side?

Lastly, what is the logic of the '-1' after the AVGC200 for future refence please?

Thank you.

Is it possible (with a Gold subscription) to scan for gaps after the opening bell please, (on an x-minute chart?)?

Topic: Pivot Point Problem on Canadian stocks
Posted: Wednesday, July 3, 2013 8:21:49 AM

Hi, the Pivot Point indicator is fine with US Stocks, Forex etc but for some reason (nature of the price feed?) the whole series of pivot points are plotted at the same horizontal level when used with Canadian listed stocks.

By way of example for a dual-listed stock.

ANV (US listing) has the pivot at US$6.40, S1 = US$6.080. S2 = US$5.89 etc etc

ANV.TO (Canadian Listing) has all 7 pivot levels plotted on top of each other at CAD$6.78.

I've searched for reasons why but cant find anything so apologies if I've missed it.

Pivots are a simple calculation via price so I can't think why they would not perform properly with a Canadian stock unless there is some sort of bug? I have tried restaring my system and reloading the indicators but to no avail.

I am a Gold Member so maybe this has something to do with it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards.
