In DW' TC2005 chart notes dated 01/06/2006 he indicated that in the case of ADBE Moneystream is in a decisive leading divergence. However, so far as I can see there is no divergence. MS seems to pretty follow price as it goes up. Can you please point out the divergence for me? Also I notice that there is no mention of the negative divergence for TSV and I think this would partially negate the overall conclusions. I think I am missing something. Please point me in the right direction.

In the same set of notes as above DW's comments on GS are:"Leading divergences in both Moneystream and TSV" From 11/25/05 to 12/20/05 bot MS and TSV seem to have negative divergences. There also appear to be short term divergences in MS and TSV from 12/20/05. Which of these divergences, short term or long term is more important for making investment decisions?

Please bring up Mr. Worden's attached chart on the ADBE note. Here is the MS divergence I see:

Take a look at price first:

Notice price made a new high in the middle of December.
Notice price pulled back then rallied again but failed to take out that December high.

Now look at MoneyStream:

Notice MoneyStream made a new high in the middle of December.
Notice MoneyStream back then rallied again but then made a new high and took out the December high.

MoneyStream made a higher high, price did not.

Can you see that now?

As for your mention of TSV. First and foremost, chart reading is subjective. There is no right or wrong answer here. Also, remember that ANY activity by TSV above the zero line is positive. Granted, TSV moving up while above zero is MORE positive than TSV moving down while above zero BUT any TSV above zero is still positive. It is an oscillator with positive and negative values plotted around a center zero line.

Please consider these videos by Peter Worden. They are the best way to learn how to read BOP, TSV and MS. They teach all of the nuances of the indicators.

Graig,

Did you notice that TSV13 Simple is showing a negative divergence and is also negative on 01/06/06? Please notice that 13 is the length of the interval of greatest interest.

Thanks,

dares,

If you would like to see a strong positive TSV divergence for ADBE, please observe TSV78 Simple.

Thanks,

No.

I only looked at the attached chart with the settings Mr. Worden was using so I could help the poster see what Mr. Worden might have seen.

I have no opinion on this (or any) stock and my statements above SHOULD NOT be seen as analysis of the technical strength or weakness of the stock.

Anyone can look at the same indicator/chart or any other settings or indicators they wish. I hope and encourage everyone to come up with analysis that contradicts what I and Mr. Worden saw.

Craig,

I, for one, am quite pleased to hear that.

If there is one single message you hear from Worden Brother, Inc. it is:

"Think for yourself"

As a result, I hope you were not suprised by my statement. I hope you've never gotten another impression from me in the past when it comes to technical analysis.

Craig,

It is true that I hear that message, but my experience is sometimes (not often) to the contrary. And, I rarely express an opinion (who cares), just present facts.

Thanks,
Jim Murphy
