My question is what confidence level exists when scanning a watch list that all scanned symbols meet the pcf formula.

I am getting many symbols in the following scan that do not meet the scanned formula.  Maybe 20-30% ar in error

This is the PCF in question

L>H2 AND C>C1

( A bullish candle whose low is higher than the high of two candles before and its close higher than the previous candle close)

Is that to be expexted? and what could be done about it.

The same PCF used in a Custom Truth indicateor at the bottom of the chart gives better than 95% accuracy.

Any thoughts appreciated

Thanks

There is absolutely no reason an EasyScan containing this Condition Formula as an EasyScan Condition should return symbols which do not meet the requirements of the EasyScan Condition.

Note however that if you changed the Condition Formula after adding it to the EasyScan in TC2000 version 12.4 (which is what you appear to be running despite asking the question in a TC2000 version 7 forum), those changes will not be reflected in the EasyScan. The EasyScan Condition is using a copy of the Condition Formula which is not linked to the original in any way.

Please try removing the EasyScan Condition from the EasyScan and re-adding it.

Another thing to check is that the time frame of the chart and the time frame of the EasyScan Condition in the Edit tab of the EasyScan actually match. If the time frames are different, then the results would not match the chart.

Also keep in mind that the list of symbols in the Scan tab of the EasyScan is only as current as the time listed in the tab. You may need to Refresh Scan to update the EasyScan if the time is not current.

Thanks Bruce. Inded I'm using 12.4

I may have changedd the formula but as far as I can  recall I did delete the scan and the pcf and re-wrote the pcf and rebuit the scan. But I'll try it again guided by your comments.

What threw me off is the fact that the custum truth indicator panel at the bottom gave the correct signals for the symbols meeting the formula, and some other symbols picked up by the scan would not give the signal at the custom indicator, and thought that maybe the graphic interface of the chart was introducing some errors..

I'll take another shot at it heeding your comments and advise further.

You're welcome. I am happy to read re-creating things resolved the issue.
