Looking to create a MACD crossover that would happen far below the zero line, I'm looking to find very oversold conditions. My parameters are 5,35,5 and I'm looking on a 5 minute chart. I know I can change the parameters to reflect my timeframe.

Appreciate any help

cosmo1962,

An EasyScan will be the best option for you with this.

First, plot MACD on your chart and edit the parameters. Then click on the label MACD 5 35 and select Create Scan Condition.

In the Condition box, look for the MACD 5 35 vs Exp Moving Average 5 and choose if you want it to be Crossing Down or Crossing Up Exp Moving Average 5. Change your Time Frame to 5 Minute.

Select to Add to an existing WatchList or Scan - OR- Scan in new window.

Now, go back to your MACD5 35 label on your chart and click on it. Select Create Scan Condition.

Change your Condition to Less Than and set your Less than value to 0. Set your Time Frame to 5 Minute.

Select Add to an existing Watchhlist or Scan and add this to your EasyScan that you just made.

You may need to select Edit in your scan and change you List to Scan.

Now you are ready to scan.
