Hello.  I want to create a Condition that compares today's 14-period ADX to the ADX 65 days ago.  I want the Condition to be today's ADX at least 20% below the ADX for 65 days ago.  How do I write this?

Also I want to know what the parameters mean when I Create a Scan Condition for ADX.  For the condition "Moving Down %" I can enter the Period and the Percent Change.  If I enter 20 periods and < 2% what does this mean?

Thank you.

Add the ADX indicator to the chart and adjust its settings as desired.

Adding and Moving Indicators

Then click on the ADX indicator and select Create Scan Condition.

Create Conditions from Your Chart

If you really mean a percentage, then you will choose Moving Down %, set the Period to 65 and Percent Change < to -20.

If you actually want the value of ADX to be down by 20, then choose Moving Down Net, set the Period to 65 and Net Change < to -20.

Entering Period 20 and < 2% in Moving Down % checks for the percent change in the value to be less than 2% between 20-bars ago and the current value. So a 1% change would pass, a -1% change would pass, a -3% change would pass but a 3% change would not pass.
