I want to develop a How To manual on switching from Tc2007 to TC2000 for investor group.  Want to customizestarting with download with screen shots.  Can do this operation on laptop, but do not want to foul up my current version of 12.3 on my desktop computer.

If I log out and click on Run Now would that work to keep things seperate?

If you select File and choose Layout History from the menus in TC2000 version 12.3, it should bring a list of your most recent Layout changes. You can restore a Layout from any point in time using this list of changes. This should prevent you from causing any permanent damage to your Layouts from conducting your demonstration and taking screen shots.

You can install TC2000 version 12.3 on your laptop, select File and choose Open Factory Default Layouts to make it look like you installed TC2000 version 12.3 for the first time.

All if this said, all of the Indicators, Conditions, WatchLists, EasyScans, Charts and Layouts that you have already created for TC2000 version 12.3 on your account will still be available. There is no way to force them to "unsave" and not be available in a way on your laptop that would still leave them as available on your desktop computer.

You may also want to fake the File | Import TC2000 v7 step of moving from TC2000 version 7 to TC2000 version 12.3 as it will actually import your settings if TC2000 version 7 is installed on the computer as well. You can as far as selecting the menu to get the screen shot, but you may not want to actually select Import (select Cancel instead). Importing settings shouldn't overwrite any existing settings or create dublicates, but there may be stuff in TC2000 version 7 that you don't want in TC2000 version 12.3 for some reason.
