Hi,

If I have an Alert based on a Scan, and if I change the scan conditions, is the Alert updated with the new logic ? Or I need to delete the previous Alert and create it again ?

Thanks.

You would need to delete the previous alart and create it again.

Hi;

I am trying to create a scan that will alert me when stocks in a 150 stock universe are in the "high" or "low" end of their dividend yield range over the past 6 ir 8 years.  ie.. since 2007, EMR has traded in a range from a low yield of 1.8% in 2007 to a high of 5.4% in 2009, averaging a range of 2.4% to 3.8%, price moving inversely.  Looking to buy at the high yield end of the range and selling at the low end.

What I want to be able to find out is when the stock is trading close to its high yield, low price and vice versa.

How can I set up a scan for this?

Thanks

Fritz

I cannot think of a way to do so in TC2000. There are only two dividend related fundamental criteria vailable in TC2000.

Dividend Growth Rate 5-Yr - This is the compound (shows accrued interest/dividend re-invested) annual dividend 5 year growth rate. The units are in percentages.

Dividend Yield - This is the latest dividend divided by the share price. It reads in percentage.

But only the most recent values of each of these fundamentals are available to use as WatchList Columns or EasyScan Conditions.

It should be noted that StockFinder Platinum has historical fundamentals available. You would be able to calculate a Stochastic of the Dividend Yield to determine if the current Dividend Yield is at the high or low end of historical Dividend Yield over the period of the Stochastic.
