I searched and read several posts on this topic but have not deduced an answer to my questions. Hopefully I've titled my post and asked questions in a way that will benefit furutre searchers.

I've set up columns for a particular stock gurus method - the coditions I use for columns is as follows

Using a green check mark if true/red if false

  • Current bar above it's open
  • Current bar is below it's open
  • Current bar is an insidebar
  • Prior bar was an inside bar and now current bar has traded above prior bars high.
  • Prior bar was an inside bar and now current bar has traded below prior bars high.

I am a gold user - when setting the columns I can choose refresh rate 30 min 60 min and "manual"

Q1. How do I trigger the manual refresh?

Q2. can I trigger a manual refresh for all columns at once?

Q3 I know as a gold user I can only use daily time frames and above - how quickly in the day will the data be correct - ie if today broke above yesterday's inside bar - how early will my columm check mark indicate that?

I'm considering upgrading to Platinum so I can test bars intraday

Q4 what are the available refresh rates  in platinum?

Q5  How quickly will the data be correct for a new 5 minut bar for example?

Thanks,

Ethan

How do I trigger the manual refresh?

You can manually refrest by selecting the refresh icon in the WatchList Column Header or clicking on the WatchList Column Header (which will also sort or reverse the sort).

No, you can only refresh a single WatchList Column at a time.

As a Gold user, the Bats data will reflect current trades and data from all of the other exchanges will be delayed by fifteen minutes. So your data throughout the day can be as much as fifteen minutes behind (but could be relatively current if the Bats data reflects current market conditions).

With Platinum, the data from all of the exchanges will be current real time data and should be current throughout the day.

That said, there is currently a bug which affects the updating of Personal Criteria Formulas in both Gold and Platinum during the first fifteen minutes of the trading day. The data will not reflect the current day until fifteen minutes into the trading day.

what are the available refresh rates  in platinum?

Platinum has RT, 1 Minute, 3 Minute, 5 Minute, 10 Minute, 15 Minute, 30 Minute, 60 Minute and manual refresh rates available. Note that these refresh rates will not necessarily be available for all WatchList Columns. The available refresh rates depend on the speed WatchList Column. A WatchList Column which is based on a Very Fast formula will have more available refresh rates than a WatchList Column which is based on a Very Slow formula.

The data can be correct for a WatchList Column immediately if the refresh rate of the WatchList Column is set to RT.

If I set a refresh rate of 15 minutes will the column refresh on the quarter-hour or at 15 minute intervals from the time I set the refresh rate?

It will be at fifteen minutes intervals, but not necessarily at the quarter hour. Once a sort has completed, it waits fifteen minutes and resorts the data.

Can I make another request?

For intra-day trading, it would be nice if we could specify the minute on which to base the refresh interval.

A 15 minute refresh, could specify a minute from 0 through 14 where minute 0 would mean on the quarter hour, minute 1 would mean at 1, 16, 31 and 46 minutes ...etc

A 5 minute refres could specify a minute from 0 to 4.

Thanks,

Ty
