WE are currently getting the $Trin and $tick charts on to TC 2000, 15 mimutes delayed. How can we have them real time? can anyone help?

Realtime data is needed, as 15 minute delay is no good at all for daytrading.

I agree with Kumar and Mysteron. I really don't want to have to subscribe to another data/software vendor and learn their software to get TICK and TRIN.

Bruce, I'm not using tick, trin, and trinq (yet) but just to clarify ... are they real-time on the Platinum version? Or is this only an issue for Gold subscribers?

They are fifteen minute delayed even when using Platinum service.

QUOTE (Bruce_L)

Thank you for your suggestion. It has been assigned case number 7777.

Thank's for your quick response Bruce. Can you also add realtime Advance/Declne ($NYAD) to the request then? All three are typically used together for timing day trades, and from that point of view (and as Mysteron said) 15 minute delayed data is not useful.

Hi Bruce,

Are there any updates you can share regarding the availibility of the TickQ and TrinQ in realtime?

I do not know when or if any particular suggestion will be implemented.

Thank you for the reply Bruce. Can you find out where TC2000 pulls the $TICKQ from, meaning does it come directly from the exchange? The reason I ask is because both the $TICK and the $TICKQ vary between TC2000 and other charting software. Other than the delay, I like TC2000 much better.

A delayed $TICK or $TICKQ really does not do me any good and having to pay another provider for real-time service month after month has not been so enjoyable.

$TICK and $TRIN are generated internally using realtime data from the realtime symbols which we carry.

Agreed. Real-time $TICK and $TRIN are critical for daytrading. I would also submit that real-time $CPC (put call ratio) and $VIX are equally as important if not more important that $TICK and $TRIN, as they measure the sentiment and relative positioning (bullishness / bearishness) of market participants, which i find give an earlier warning than breadth based market internal indicators like $TICK and $TRIN.

Let me get this straight, these issues about Tick and Trin were reported nearly a year ago, and the atrocious problems remain? People still cannot get Tick and Trin in realtime using platinum subscriptions? Are you freaking kidding me Worden?

Using a bit of logic and common sense this pretty much tells me all of the bug reports my team has been reporting will lead the same dark path.

...but hey, the new Twitter feed sure is spiffy.

Sorry. I really do like TC2000. In my case I could really use that "first 15-minutes of the trading day" bug fixed, but I'm not holding my breath. But I do have my fingers crossed.

I'm wondering if real-time should really be referred to as "real-time" until it really is real-time.

:)
