Is there a way to only display my notes in the notes and news display? I am getting a lot of Worden notes... which would be fine if they were relevent... but they are all from years ago.

If you click on the Social box along the left hand side and select Friends, it will bring up the Social window. If you select the Friends tab, you can click the X to the right of Peter Worden and/or Donald Worden to delete them from your Friends list. Then their notes will no longer show up up.
