 How do I construct a Volume percent change formula that only returns positive volume?

100*(V-V1)/V1

 Does positive volume mean the net change in price was positive?

ABS(C > C1) * 100 * (V / V1 - 1)

Does positive volume mean volume increased from the previous bar?

ABS(V > V1) * 100 * (V / V1 - 1)

Do you just want the result returned as a positive value even if volume was down?

100 * ABS(V / V1 - 1)

If positive volume means something else, we would need your particular definition to help you create a formula.
