During a not-so-recent webinar, Julia Ormond demonstrated how to scan and sort for certain candlestick patterns. (Doji, Hammer/Hangman, Morning/Evening Star, etc.). I would like to establish pre-built scans/filters for each of these patterns.

I have scoured TC2000 v.12 and I can't figure out where to find them or how to create them myself. Can you help me, either by directing me to where I can find them or providing me with instructions to create them myself? Thank you.

Julia's Condition Formula along with numerous other Condition Formulas for identifying candlestick patterns are contained in the Boolean PCFs for Candlestick Patterns topic.

Thank you for the link.

I have transferred over to TC2000v.12 several of the formulas. After doing so, it struck me that these formulas would be especially helpful, if calculated for hours as opposed to days. I figure that someone could then set up intraday alerts for when certain conditions are realized during the course of the trading day, making for more efficient entry/exit points for swing trading.

Do you have any suggestions on how to convert these formulas from end-of-day to end-of-hour?

Thank you.

When you create or edit a Condition Formula in TC2000 version 12, there is a Time Frame drop-down menu which you can use to set the Time Frame to hourly.

Thank you! That is so much easier than trying to convert.
