Friends,

First of all, let me advise you I was a programmer for 5 years, and provided technical support to software applications for 2 years. I say that so you know where I'm by no means a neophyte.

The function Watchlist / Copy to Other List / Flagged Symbols isn't working properly. Here's the exact order of events.

1. I performed an easyscan.
2. It generated 22 items
3. I flagged 10 items
4. I executed watchlist/copy to other list / flagged symbols
5. The new watchlist the program created has 88 items.
6. I repeated this operation with a new scan, and created a new watchlist. Similar results.

There's no way a subset of a group should be larger than the original group.

Please advise.

Thanks ... George

Currently this procedure copies all flagged symbols to the new WatchList, not just the ones flagged in the active WatchList. Until this is addressed, be sure to UNFLAG all before you flag.

You can also SUBLIST the new WatchList with your EasyScan to see just the ones flagged from that EasyScan WatchList.

This IS being treated as a BUG, right, Craig?

Otherwise the text in the dropdown should not say "Copy to Other List > All Flagged Symbols in Watchlist"

The prior versions of the program did NOT work this way. It is very distressing to find that this is broken.

This is not a problem if the target Watchlist already exists.

It also works OK if you use the New > New Watchlist > start with FLAGGED symbols from the current WatchList

Whew. That is an acceptable workaround. But I hope you fix the menu-driven path soon ... could really mess people up!

Is there any way to sort stock symbols in a watch list by flagged or not flagged?

You can always go directly to the ALL FLAGGED ITEMS WatchList to see just the flagged stocks OR you can hold down the SHIFT as you hit your spacebar to scroll from flagged stock to flagged stock. There is no way to SORT on flags.

ok, thanks - I was looking for a way to group my flagged stocks at the top of my open watch list. I'll just keep using the shift key.
