Can somebody give me some help on CALM. Is this a bullish candle stick that just formed. Should I start taking profits? Thanks Mikepass

Mikepass:

When seeing candlesticks, single candlesticks,  I would always wait for confirmation the following day.

The exception is the evening star.  This will cause me to leave near the end of the day, when it is evident that this will occur.

The shape of one mans opinion

Ummm... Imo that depends on your time frame.  one candle, particularily viewed on a dialy chart, may or may not be signifficant.  That is one of the things that irks me about candle stick analysis buying and selling.  often the day I'm bought turns out to be a sell signal.. I sell and after a brief period of chop price rallies.

I often check at least a 2 day of the candles, because thsi seems to filter out some of the daily noise..    The thing is we won't know it was a warning sign till later.

I would be inclined to call it a resting day .. you may well get a few more hereish ... possibly a slight slide.  In a better market i think they could be viewed as a coming oportunity to add to your position.

If you are trading super tight time frames then move up your stop and accept that price may move up further over the next week or two.  If you thin kit will make it to the top of the chanel... let it be.

compromise and move the stop to breakeaven or slightly above.

See nearest chart support at 31.75 and the close low to that is 31.52 which occurred on 4/23.

I'm holding CALM, it's just moving into its power stage; but I'm a swing trader.
